# Sanctum: Narrative Intelligence & Arbitrum Output

> Fintheon's narrative intelligence center — NarrativeFlow canvas, Aquarium Arbitrum output, catalyst Timeline, and daily briefs all in one workspace.

Sanctum is where you make sense of the market's active narratives. It combines a living canvas of narrative threads (NarrativeFlow), the real-time Arbitrum deliberation panel (Aquarium), and a chronological catalyst Timeline into a single composite workspace. The Sanctum header also gives you one-click access to every daily brief Harper has generated.

Access Sanctum by clicking the **Sanctum** dropdown in the Consilium tab bar and choosing a sub-view.

## Three surfaces

## NarrativeFlow

NarrativeFlow is the main canvas inside Sanctum's **NarrativeFlow** sub-view. It renders active market narratives as draggable cards organized into lanes by category (macro, sector, geopolitical, earnings, etc.). Ropes connect related narratives — a visual signal that two threads are influencing each other.

### Reading the canvas

Each narrative card shows:

* The **thread name** (e.g., `trade-war`, `rate-cut-cycle`, `ai-singularity`)
* The card's **category** and **direction bias** (bullish, bearish, or neutral)
* A **health score** that reflects how many recent catalysts support the narrative

Ropes between cards are drawn with **polarity** — a rope between a bearish macro narrative and a bullish sector narrative indicates a cross-narrative tension that agents like Oracle and Herald will flag in the Agentic Forum.

### Navigating the canvas

| Action         | Result                                                                   |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Click and drag | Pan the canvas |
| Scroll wheel | Zoom in or out toward the cursor |
| Double-click   | Zoom in one level (year → quarter → month → week)                        |
| Click a card | Select the narrative; connected ropes animate to highlight relationships |

### Presets and the filter panel

The Sanctum header exposes preset modes that scroll the workspace to a focused page and trigger a fresh Arbitrum run:

| Preset          | Focus                                                                           |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Full Brief** | Page 0 — Volatility Read + Arbitrum Chamber side by side |
| **Econ Watch** | Page 1 — Economic Intelligence, upcoming macro events and agent consensus |
| **Risk Scan** | Page 2 — Risk Signals + Active Narratives side by side, plus the Trade Ledger |
| **Chart Focus** | Page 0 in chart mode — compact left column with TradingView pinned to the right |

<Tip>
  The last preset you used is saved automatically. The next time you open Sanctum it will restore your preferred view.

## Aquarium

The Aquarium is the Sanctum sub-view where you see the output of Fintheon Arbitrum — the platform's five-seat deliberation engine. Every time the chamber runs (either automatically after a high-scoring RiskFlow event or when you click **Update**), the Aquarium surfaces a structured verdict.

### What the Aquarium shows

Sanctum's **Page 0 (Command Center)** is the primary Aquarium surface. It splits into two 50/50 panels:

**Left — Volatility Read:**

* **Blended IV + Forecast card** — the composite implied-volatility score with VIX correlation and next-session directional forecast
* **Day Card** — today's session summary and key levels

**Right — Arbitrum Chamber:**

* **Consensus probability** — how aligned the five chamber seats are on direction
* **Confidence dial** — the chamber's stated certainty in its verdict
* **Dissent summary** — a plain-language summary of where the seats disagreed
* **Digest text** — the full chamber read, authored by Harper's synthesis seat

Below those panels, the **Aquarium Prediction Cards** show instrument-level fuses for /NQ, /ES, /YM, /CL, and /GC.

<Note>
  The Aquarium also appears as a hover peek inside the IV scoring widget in Strategium — you can get a quick chamber read without leaving your current view.
</Note>

### Triggering a fresh deliberation

Click **Update** in the Sanctum header to send a new deliberation request to the chamber. The status indicator in the header shows `running` while the chamber works. The preset you have selected determines the question the chamber receives:

* Full Brief → "Read the next session — full brief"
* Econ Watch → "Read the next session — econ catalysts"
* Risk Scan → "Read the next session — risk scan"
* Chart Focus → "Read the next session — chart focus"

The Aquarium updates automatically when deliberation completes — you do not need to refresh.

### Chart mode

Toggle the **Chart** button in the Consilium tab bar while Sanctum is active to enter chart mode. In this layout:

* The TradingView chart pins to the **right half** of the viewport and stays visible as you scroll through all three Sanctum pages
* The left half becomes an independent scrollable column showing the compact Aquarium stack (Briefing, IV + Forecast card, and Prediction Cards)

The selected instrument in chart mode tracks whatever symbol you have configured in your Fintheon settings.

## Risk & Narratives (Page 2)

Sanctum's third page — accessible via the right-side page indicator dots or by selecting the **Risk Scan** preset — shows two panels side by side:

**Left — Risk Signals:**
Active risk signal cards surfaced from the RiskFlow feed. Each card shows a catalyst headline, its IV-weighted urgency score, sentiment tag, and severity level.

**Right — Active Narratives:**
A condensed list of the narratives currently in play, pulled from your NarrativeFlow canvas. Each narrative shows its direction bias and health score. Expanded view is active when the **Full Brief** preset is selected.

At the bottom of Page 2, the **Consolidated Trade Ledger** summarizes open positions and recent trade actions across the desks.

## Daily briefs

Harper generates four scheduled briefs that you can access from the Sanctum header:

| Brief                              | Schedule              | What it covers                                                    |
| ---------------------------------- | --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **MDB** — Morning Daily Brief | 6:30 AM ET, weekdays | Overnight moves, key levels, macro overview, session setup |
| **ADB** — Afternoon Daily Brief | 10:45 AM ET, weekdays | Mid-session update, catalyst developments, agent consensus shifts |
| **PMDB** — Post-Market Daily Brief | 5:15 PM ET, weekdays  | Session recap, damage assessment, next-day positioning            |
| **TWT** — Tribune Weekly | 4:30 PM ET, Sundays | Week-ahead macro calendar, sector rotation themes, risk landscape |

Click the brief type in the Sanctum header to load the most recent version. The PMDB includes a **Chamber Read** section sourced directly from the 5:00 PM Arbitrum deliberation run.

<Note>
  Briefs are generated automatically on schedule. You can also trigger an on-demand brief from the **Chat** tab using the Run Report button.

## Promoting a RiskFlow item to a narrative

When a RiskFlow item in Strategium (or Page 2 Risk Signals) surfaces a catalyst you want to track as an ongoing narrative thread:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Identify the catalyst">
    Find the item in the RiskFlow feed or the Risk Signals panel on Sanctum Page 2. High-urgency items carry an elevated IV score.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open NarrativeFlow">
    Switch to the NarrativeFlow sub-view via the Sanctum dropdown.
  </Step>

  <Step title="The narrative appears as a new lane">
    Promoted catalysts seed a new lane on the NarrativeFlow canvas. The lane inherits the catalyst's category and sentiment, and ropes are automatically drawn to related existing narratives.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Monitor health over time">
    As new RiskFlow items arrive that match the narrative's category and theme, the lane's health score updates. A declining health score means the market has moved on from the thesis.
  </Step>
</Steps>
